Just get in your car and drive...

Hello dear friend,

I would love to invite you to sit with me and share a few moments of how just going with your flow can open you up to experience a taste of heaven.

For days I have been experiencing more and more love and energy in my life; the ecstasy was increasing and expanding, until I hit an all-time high with the twirls and the thrill of 'spandic' love, singing and coursing through my veins like liquid light.

It was been catalysed by a deep desire and conviction in me to play hookie from the 'oughts', 'shoulds' and 'musts' that can dictate our life and stifle our natural flair for freedom, and to just follow my flow.

Recently, on a fine Cornish summer's day, I felt I 'should' go and drop off more of my leaflets at a local health food store as a means to try and promote my business, but I felt the tugging of my heart to play truant and just get in my car and drive instead.

I didn't know where I was going but somewhere deep inside, despite my carefree attitude or (maybe because of it) I just had to follow my heart and start driving.

So, there I was leaving our home in a cloud of diesel fumes as my faithful old Ford Fiesta chugged and rattled up Headland Road and I bowed my head towards her strong engine and whispered to her, "Take me, take me in the direction of my joy!"
.
And so, in a state of joy and curiosity, I found myself up going in the direction of Penzance. However, I felt no desire to stop and curiously found myself on the A3071 road to St Just (near Land's End). And as I weaved through St Just's pretty town square adorned with inviting aromas of pasties, cosy cafes and red geraniums, I felt the strong pull in my being to just keep going!

This seemed rather strange at the time, as I pondered on why I was heading from there down a tiny, windy track to the rugged coast and the ghost-town remains of an old coastal mining village: a tin mine graveyard and a poignant reminder of Cornwall's mining heritage.

As the vista of the infinite expanse of the Atlantic Ocean appeared around a bend, tall, forlorn, statuesque chimney stacks and engine houses appeared, standing proud against the azure blue sky, teetering on the sides of the precipitous cliffs; the hungry waves leaping towards them threatening to engulf them, but they stood unperturbed in glee; a stoic testament to Cornwall's courage and fortitude.

Striking a sculptural pose against the blazing sunlight as it hits the red ore of their masonry; highlighted against the tangled background of prickly gorse and vibrant pink heather.

So, here I was looking for a car park, and yet resolutely not wanting to pay to use the public car park, so I followed my gut feeling and I found myself leaving the beaten track behind me; drawn by a small, inconspicuous weather-beaten sign to Carn Gloose, weaving and bending down this, now, almost ridiculously narrow lane (as you do in Cornwall!) - just following a whim!

Then my world appeared to open up with a gasp of wonder: I was overlooking the expansive panoramic vista of Cape Cornwall.

It took my breath away.

I was caught in the spotlight of a beauty that came to meet me and touched my core like a long lost Love. Such splendour of light and colours bubbling over my senses like heaven's gate chimerically appeared to invite me to step into another dimension.

And so I jauntily pulled on my waking boots (how I love my trusty boots, well worn, dusty and weathered from many a joyful mile), followed the flow of my excitement down the rocky path to the little cove, courted round to the river valley to face the magnificence and splendour of light hitting the waves like diamonds and bouncing off the golden sand, and engaged in a walk of my wildest dreams.

What a feast of delight! Stunningly beautiful steep cliff paths hugging the sky, tumbling waterfalls spilling generously down a beautiful valley cosseted by a kaleidoscope of colours. Ancient ruins adorned with the majesty of ferns like hanging baskets dripping their verdant wares into pools of utterly crystal clear water reflecting the clear skies above.

I decided not to follow the usual coast path, well worn with the pad of many coastal path walkers' feet, but skirted around the edge and to scramble up the steep side. I peered up to the top - it seemed almost vertical - but gallantly I clamoured on seduced by the beautiful, proud granite boulders sprinkled with flecks of quartz glinting at me in the sunshine; beckoning, cajoling me to touch them.

And to my delight, I gasped as I was caught in the spell and splendour of the moment - some of the granite had this gorgeous rosy pink hue, fringed by a carpet of pastel pink sea thrift and intensely blue corn flowers dancing in the breeze.

What a cornucopia of delight! I found myself climbing like a mountain goat: springing and leaping from ledge to ledge up the steep craggy, crumbly path.

Having arrived at the summit only slightly breathless, my exertions were soon forgotten in a haze of joy, as I felt the magnitude of God's love: the beauty was so intense that tears pricked at my eyes... As I began to cry with such joy over this splendour, I began to wonder if I had died. I was a so explosively ecstatic, everything was so picture-perfect and also so overwhelmingly beautiful - I really began to think I had gone to heaven. I really had a moment of being totally unsure as to whether I had actually died, because this seemed too awesome and beyond anything I had ever seen before on Earth... I seriously wondered if I had passed away! I wondered if I should call John , to see if I was still alive......

And I heard my spirit speak from somewhere deep inside, creating a thunderous recognition: "Live your life every day in your joy and ecstasy and just get in your car and drive, or get on your boots and walk." In other words: just go with your flow with no other agenda, other than to be in your natural ecstasy and joy and always be open to an explosive taste of heaven!
"Treat life like that", my spirit continued, "Your higher self, as you, has the view from the mountain top: it can see the most easy, expansive, joyous route for you to get to where you want ....

"Your job is to get in your car and drive, or get on your boots and walk or just go with your flow with where you are at.

"You will blow you mind when you let go of trying to control how to get where you are wanting in life. Just start waking, or driving, or going with your flow. The how and the way will astonish you!"

So here I was, suspended in my heaven here on Earth....

A taste of heaven is only a hair's breadth away when you let go of control and let your reality melt into you and meet you in your heart's centre.

We get ourselves tangled and snared in the banter of our constant limiting thoughts.
Let go of tying to control your reality and your life, as you follow the flow of your true heart's desire and you will find yourself experiencing your taste of heaven in the centre of your being in light!

Love hearing from you, thank you for your wonderful comments...

In the centre of our light,

Leela
